Under the motto “Adoption, an option available to everyone,” this Sunday the 4th at 12 noon, the first solidarity dog parade will be held in the free access area of Bioparc. An unmissable event for people committed to animal welfare that will allow you to learn up close the stories of 50 dogs. At a particularly difficult time in which, in addition, the number of dropouts has increased, an appeal is made on this very topical issue.
On the occasion of the World Animal Day, Bioparc Valencia and AUPA, the Adopta Un Perro Abandonado association, formalized, on October 4, a collaboration agreement all with boost dog adoptions.
Just a month later, this Sunday, November 4, will take place at Bioparc Valencia on first dog show at the request of the care and protection of animals. An action of social awareness that facilitates the meeting between dogs and people, in a especially delicate moment for animals since the difficult economic situation has increased abandonment dog's.
This event will take place at 12h en a large free access area located at the entrance to Bioparc Valencia. In this square, 50 dogs will walk in the company of volunteers from WOW and visitors will have the opportunity to meet, among others, Ágata, Akira, Laila, Buio, Ice, Duque, Wilma, Black and discover their stories, as well as being able to start the adoption procedures.
Bioparc Valencia is a awareness platform and is committed to actions that promote values such as solidarity. On this occasion, we want to make an appeal to society about a very current problem and call on all committed people who want to offer a home to these animals.. A solidarity action that will change the lives of these dogs and that, without a doubt, will also change the lives of the people who decide to adopt them, as they will receive all the company and love of these faithful animals.
AUPA is a non-profit association dedicated to care for homeless dogs and the promotion and management of their adoptions. For this very special occasion, has made a selection of 50 dogs of different ages and characteristics, which have been collected, vaccinated, dewormed and have received all the necessary veterinary care. In 2012 AUPA has collected 320 dogs, of which only 45 have been claimed by their owners. Of the rest, 115 have been adopted, some have died from different causes and the rest are impatiently awaiting a second chance.
