Wild Oceans FilmFest (WOFF) It is the international marine film festival organized by BIOPARC Foundation held in BIOPARC Gijón Aquarium Since 2022, with the aim of turning the power of audiovisual media into a tool to raise awareness and promote commitment to ocean protection.
To mark the fifth edition in 2026, BIOPARC Valencia and BIOPARC Fuengirola will participate with the screening of the acclaimed award-winning films of the four previous editions. In this way, the successful and high-quality model of WOFF will reach these two cities with a great maritime tradition, sharing the same message of nature conservation.
El BIOPARC Valencia cinema will host the following sessions:
- Sunday, September 13, 18 p.m.: Sea of Shadows (+13) (105 min, 2019): A stunning and award-winning production by Leonardo DiCaprio. National Geographic Documentary Films. Focusing on the vaquita marina, the most endangered marine mammal on the planet, with only 7 to 10 individuals remaining. Despite this, thanks to conservation and scientific efforts, there is a glimmer of hope. Price: free.
- Saturday, September 26, 17 p.m.: Soul of the Ocean (+7) (51 min, 2022), a benchmark of underwater filming, collects more than 10 years of incredible sequences of cooperation between species. Price: €5 for the general public and €3 for people with a B pass!
- Saturday, October 10, 17 p.m.: Blue Carbon: Nature's Hidden Power (+13) (85 min, 2023) from CNN Films and with very wide global distribution, connects scientific research, marine conservation and contemporary culture. Price: €5 for the general public and €3 for people with a B pass!
- Sunday, October 25, 16 p.m.: Ocean with David Attenborough (+7) (85 min, 2025), from National Geographic, has broken records in cinemas and screening it at BIOPARC is our best tribute to the scientist and inspiring naturalist on the occasion of his 100th birthday. Price: free.
All films are shown in their original version (English), with Spanish subtitles. Limited seating.
