International Day of Women and Girls in Science: the aim is to encourage younger generations to take the step to “break these glass ceilings”.

And on this day like today, we want to evoke the figure of famous women scientists who, in many cases, have gone unnoticed by the vast majority, but who have left a legacy of unquestionable merit in different disciplines. BIOPARC Valencia emphasizes the figure of Joan Beauchamp Procter, zoologist and herpetologist who, despite her danger, became an expert in large reptiles. And especially to Jane Goodall primatologist, ethologist and anthropologist who has gone down in history for her discoveries about chimpanzees and who in His visit in 2012 gave him the “highest rating” to the Valencian park.
