Girls and boys from 5 to 12 years old will enjoy an unforgettable experience in an outdoor nature environment until July 22 and the long-awaited “nights in the savanna” activity will resume.
Last week it started “Africa Expedition” vacation school whose objective is to promote an attitude of commitment to the environment and protection of endangered species with games and various activities in an outdoor nature environment. On Wednesday and Thursday within the “Pet Rescuers” course, in addition to the activities prepared by the Education Department of BIOPARC Valencia, such as collaborating in the preparation of ice cream, getting up close and personal with some of the animals in the educational exhibition “The Cycle of Life” or enjoying gymkhanas and workshops.
They made other activities in which they learned that certain animals are not suitable to be pets with the Municipal Center for Birdlife and Exotic Fauna of Nazareth. “Adopt an Abandoned Dog” (AUPA) explained the work carried out by the protectors and the responsibility involved in adopting. The green patrol from the UMA (Environmental Unit of the local police of Valencia) explained how they do their daily work and gave a demonstration with a drone.
This Week “Walking among giants”, the Earth Patrol has a difficult mission: stop an evil genetic experiment that will endanger the world as we know it. The youngest will learn curiosities about the giant animals that lived in the past and will discover how these are similar to the animals that we can find today in BIOPARC. Throughout these days, activities will be carried out such as the gymkhanas “Dinosaur Adaptations” or “The Search for Baobab Sap”, games such as “Ethogram and Elephant Recognition”, they will collaborate in the preparation of ice cream and environmental enrichments. Track games such as “Gigantopithecus”, workshops, summer pool and group dynamics. Thursday night summer movies and setting up camp at the BIOPARC amphitheater to sleep under the stars. Friday concludes the week with food and a farewell party. Next week will be dedicated to “A world in miniature” where the secret superpowers of tiny animals, responsible for maintaining the balance of ecosystems, will be discovered.
The “Africa Expedition” vacation school BIOPARC each week has a different theme that repeats every fortnight until July 22. In this way, it is possible to participate in two weeks since the content of the activities is different. and this summer one of the most special actions is resumed: the “night in the savanna” and your camp under the stars surrounded by BIOPARC nature, which will take place on the night of Thursday to Friday.
