4th birthday of the first gorilla born in the Valencian Community.

EBO It is for all Valencians a icon of the conservation of species in serious danger of extinction. Its name reminds us of this since it is a small and valuable forest in Cameroon where a group of gorillas lives that are at serious risk of extinction in the short term. EBO is also a project of Conservation in situ that takes place precisely in that area and in which BIOPARC Foundation participates.

The BIOPARC technical team wanted EBO, the first gorilla born in the Valencian Community, to have a very special day in his 4º birthday.

EBO was born 4 years ago and was the result of a captive reproduction program, that is, a project of Conservation ex situ. This young gorilla was also the first gorilla born in the Valencian Community and every year his anniversary is a joy shared by the entire BIOPARC technical team, which turns this day into a day full of surprises not only for him but for his family and, of course, in parallel, for all visitors who have had the opportunity to contemplate it.

EBO lives with his parents and other females in the breeding group of BIOPARC Valencia and This 2016 has seen with curiosity and amazement the arrival of a sister. So this birthday has a special meaning. As always, his caregivers have gone out of their way with some succulent and original gifts that he has shared with his family and that have made him feel like the real protagonist.
