BIOPARC, on the occasion of the celebration of the third birthday of EBO, the first gorilla born in the Valencian Community, offers an adult and a child ticket for 23,8 euros and opens participation in the EBO conservation project to society. "on-site" of gorillas with the individual contribution of 1 euro for each entry.
BIOPARC Valencia dedicates the days October 24, 25 and 26 to commemorate the birth of EBO, the first gorilla born in the Valencia Community and which represents an icon of species conservation in serious danger of extinction.
For this purpose, it has been launched during these 3 days a promotion that offers FREE child admission with the purchase of a general admission or +65. That is, for only 23,8 euros in the case of the general or for €17,50 for +65, you get the input of a child under 12 years old and one adult. This represents a saving of €18 for children's admission. The idea is to facilitate access for children and their families, also with “grandparents”, and for everyone to benefit from a special price.
The objective is to celebrate this special event with the Valencians and, in addition to seeing how the beautiful EBO gorilla has grown, they can visit this space of African nature full of wildlife. To get the offer it is necessary to make the purchase through the BIOPARC website, and you can buy tickets directly or download a coupon to present at the BIOPARC Valencia ticket office.
In addition, all visitors who benefit from the offer will contribute 1 € for conservation that, through BIOPARC Foundation, will be allocated to Conservation EBO Project in situ.
EBO is the name of a small and valuable forest of Cameroon where these gorillas live, which probably belong to the Cross River subspecies (Gorilla gorilla diehli) and are found in serious risk of extinction in the short term. On the border of Cameroon and Nigeria, only 200 specimens of this subspecies remain, in addition to the isolated population of EBO, 400 km away. The EBO Project aims to study this African forest, protect its inhabitants and, very significantly, a small group of about 25 gorillas that have been isolated and they are fighting to survive. The work aims to involve local communities in environmental research and conservation.
Moreover, on Monday the 26th, day of birth of EBO, will be carried out special activities to celebrate this event and will be done mainly with the schools that visit the park that day. The gorilla keepers will have gifts and delicacies specially prepared for EBO in their outdoor enclosure so that when they leave they will be surprised to discover them, which all park visitors that morning will be able to see.
The 24 day will also be celebrated Teacher's Day with a series of activities programmed especially for them and their families and inviting them to a guided tour where they can discover the park as a tool recreational-training. Teachers and their companions will contribute €1 which will go to the EBO project.
