Bioparc Valencia - Chispi 24th anniversary cake

Little Kimbo and Eme are the ones who have enjoyed the gifts in the form of food the most and Chispi, the birthday girl, has been a good host, allowing them to eat the softest and tastiest parts. One more year, the Bioparc Valencia chimpanzee family gathers to celebrate the birthday of the female Chispi around the 70 cm cake.

The family made up of 6 chimpanzees celebrates Chispi's birthday for another year under the usual ritual (watch video).

La giant 70 centimeter cake wide composed of frozen juice, pieces of fruit, jellies, biscuits and a little cream. A refreshing and pleasant surprise that mitigated the heat of this month of August and entertained the little ones playing and eating.

Napo, the dominant male, flaunting his bravery and dominance, was the first to venture out into the enclosure and inspect the land where the giant cake was located. Chispi didn't let go of the cake, Kate took the top part of the cake, Napo chose the candles made of carrots and grapes and little Eme decided to take what the others left for her.

Eme is 5 years old and is the sister of Kimbo, the first chimpanzee born in Bioparc Valencia, that Last April he turned 2 years old. Little Kimbo, the youngest and most energetic of the family, ran happily around the cake and later sat next to the elders to enjoy the appetizer. Chispi, like a good hostess, helped the little ones choose the softest and most edible pieces most appropriate for their young age.

Like every year, before the chimpanzees enter their outdoor enclosure, their keepers place a frozen and refreshing surprise on the grass every August 10 since Bioparc Valencia opened its doors.
