At BIOPARC Valencia with a walk through the park, which is still considered one of the ten best in the world, they reaffirm a commitment that they began 4 years ago to the conservation of nature.
Two institutions, the BIOPARC Foundation and the DAMM Foundation, that represent the will of two companies with the future of society have ratified a shared commitment to the preservation of our planet and nature conservation. This event to renew the agreement, which began 4 years ago, was intended to be made visible with a walk through the Valencian park that continues to be considered one of the ten best in the world.
In its long history of industrial activity, the Damm company has invested many resources to reduce the impact on the environment, especially in the sustainable use of natural resources, placing special emphasis on water savings. Later, with the creation of his DAMM Foundation, has included in its mission the training of young people “promoting the main values of sport, such as fair play, respect and effort.” Principles, which, embedded in the people who represent the future of society, are the basis of respect and preservation of everything that surrounds them. And, in this context, they understood that there was a link with BIOPARC Foundation, not only in its action focused on education as a way to transform attitudes, but also in its commitment to leisure and sports as accelerators of these behaviors. The Patron-Director of the DAMM Foundation, Ramón Agenjo, highlighted “the satisfaction over the relationship between both entities and the need to share goals and carry out joint actions to achieve them".

Conservation of the most threatened nature.
BIOPARC Foundation develops its activity linked to the preservation of biodiversity by internationally supporting conservation projects in situ of threatened species. And, in parallel, it promotes various actions aimed at mobilizing the population and awakening respect and love for our planet through solidarity activities linked to healthy leisure and sports, such as the 5th Race in Manada held on December 3. The BIOPARC Foundation pointed out the important work of BIOPARC, Valencia and Fuengirola, as meeting platforms between people and nature, since it is essential to show the "wild beauty" which is increasingly threatened by man's actions to try to raise awareness towards its protection.
In this sense, the Director of Conservation Projects of the BIOPARC Foundation, Rosa Martínez, explained during the visit the way in which This economic support, so necessary to preserve critically endangered species, became tangible. such as gorillas or bongos, commenting on how the projects developed are essential to maintain the rich biodiversity that surrounds them. The “gorilla family” with the babies aroused tenderness in the group and the satisfaction of feeling like participants in that hope for many animal species.
