La 5th edition of the BIOPARC Herd Race to be held on Sunday December 3 and that coincides with the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, has the support of the Levante UD Cent Anys Foundation. The Granota Club's commitment to society is positioned on two objectives: children and sport for people with disabilities and, in this sense, it seeks to fight for a sport for all, without barriers and inclusive, where athletes are helped to socialize. with disabilities, treating their sport as a form of social diversity.

La Levante UD Cent Anys Foundation It has been carrying out its activity for more than 5 years with such emblematic initiatives as the Levante UD Masclets, the first Electric Wheelchair Hockey team created in the Valencian Community; the Adapted Football section that already has more than 100 players and that made Levante UD the first professional football club to create a School for the Intellectually Disabled and incorporate it into its structure; and the Di_Capacity Project that tries to enhance the predominant values ​​of the Levantine entity, the spirit of improvement, humility, fight and effort, through four world-class Valencian Paralympic athletes; David Casinos, Ricardo Ten, Mónica Merenciano and Óscar Ponce.

This solidarity event has brought together three other Foundations: the Obra Social “la Caixa” that sponsors the test, the Municipal Sports Foundation and the BIOPARC Foundation which coordinates the contribution made to nature conservation projects.

This race, aimed at all audiences, you run as a family or in a group made up of up to 5 people. It has a 5 km route through sections of urban and wild nature and another 2 km taking into account the abilities of the little ones.

New this year, the start and finish will be in BIOPARC. The exit will be located in the Cabecera park, under the BIOPARC bridge and will travel along the old bed of the Turia river to the athletics stadium, from where it will return to the interior of BIOPARC. In the park you will pass through the Amphitheater and the central boulevard, with views towards Madagascar and Savannah, ending in the outdoor plaza of BIOPARC Valencia, where you will find the finish arch.

The purpose of this race is to raise awareness about the need to protect and conserve nature and the benefits obtained will be allocated through the BIOPARC Foundation to the preservation of biodiversity.
