More than 1.000 people show their commitment to a healthy lifestyle and the need to conserve and protect nature in the Carrera en Manada.
This morning at 9 a.m., more than 1.000 people gathered in the Cabecera park, under the BIOPARC walkway, to begin a 5 km or 2 km route along green spaces of the Turia garden and the interior of BIOPARC to finish at the finish arch located in the outside plaza of the animal park next to the sculpture of the elephant Scipio in the 7th Race in Herd.
The benefits of this charity test will go to the “AcogeUnPajarito” project.
Today, the different packs made up of groups of families or friends have run for a good cause, the “AcogeUnPajarito” project, to which the BIOPARC Foundation will allocate the benefits of this 7th edition. An initiative carried out in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture, Rural Development, Climate Emergence and Ecological Transition, where volunteers with and without functional diversity or in situations of social exclusion, take care of orphaned baby birds that have fallen from the nest, to free them, already restored, after a few weeks.
The winners of the 5 Herd Race 2019K have been:
- Female Classification: first, Ana Real Pedrón; the second was Elena Leal Lorente; and in third place Ana Nieto Rodríguez.
- Men's Classification: Jorge Aguado Aguado was the first to reach the finish line; the second, Víctor Mendoza Branca; and thirdly, José Luís Rodríguez.
- Herd Classification: first, the Redón group; the Caiza Pack made up of women have come second; and the Sanchís family have arrived the third.
This Sunday morning hundreds of people have shared moments of exercise with “their pack” and in this way they have shown their commitment to a healthy life style and the need for conserve and protect nature.
