BIOPARC Valencia is the park in Spain with the greatest variety of lemurs, the best-known endemic animals of Madagascar. With six different species and the possibility of observing the practically unknown fossa, it is a reference to discover this exotic island in a faithful recreation of its beautiful landscapes.

Firmly clinging to her parents, the natural behavior of her can be observed. This species is classified as vulnerable to extinction on the IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature) Red List. and with a worrying decreasing trend in its fragmented population. BIOPARC is the only park on the Iberian Peninsula where you can admire this species of lemur, one of the few that form monogamous pairs and in which both the male and the female take care of the offspring.

The animal care team is committed to ensuring the maximum well-being of the group and monitors the evolution of the offspring. whose sex is still unknown. It should be noted that this hopeful birth occurs within the international preservation program (ESB) in which BIOPARC participates and which seeks to ensure the survival of this particular species. Furthermore, the Valencian park is one of the few places where a couple of graves can be seen, a very rare animal that is a major predator of Madagascar.
