- The Valencian illustrator, an international reference, wanted to show his commitment to nature.

Valencia, January 30, 2015. Since 1805, when Arbor Day was celebrated for the first time in the world in a town in Extremadura, this event has been commemorated on January 31. Today it is already a milestone celebrated in many countries as a means to promote the protection of the planet's forest surfaces. Trees, among many other benefits, transform carbon dioxide into biomass, minimize flood risks, prevent erosion and countless actions that help us conserve the environment and the quality of the air we breathe.
Paco Roca, Valencian cartoonist, illustrator and cartoonist, National Comic Award winner and well known for the international success of “ARRUGAS”, which in 2011 was adapted to film, wanted to participate in an event and launch an SOS for the conservation and care of trees. She did it on a windy morning planting a CINNAMON in BIOPARC. The chosen area is close to the FOSA, a predator endemic to Madagascar that is under threat of disappearing from the planet as a species and is part of a reproduction program of the 43 carried out by this Valencian park.
The chosen tree is leafy perennial and reaches 20 meters high. Cinnamomun is the generic name that comes from Greek We know Kinnamon or Kinnamomon, which means “sweet wood,” as it is from which we obtain camphor oil, very popular for relieving neuralgic pain.
Furthermore, on the occasion of this day and responding to the Challenge: #hazelpino The park's gardening department has made a video for sharing on networks. All of these “gestures” are intended to draw everyone's attention to the importance of respectful behavior and the defense and protection of our trees.
This weekend Foundation, the month of its anniversary begins, 7 years ago it opened its doors to Valencians and the world and, like every year, in this month it will develop special actions and activities.
