On Saturday the 27th afternoon, the outdoor plaza of BIOPARC Valencia became a meeting point for animal lovers. The reason was the tenth edition of the AUPA and BIOPARC Valencia Abandoned Dog Parade, which has become a classic twice a year, once in summer and once in winter. In this case, the choice of Saturday afternoon was intended to favor the influx of people and for the animals to be less hot.

Among the large audience that came to see if they could find a pet among the animals that “climbed the catwalk,” we also found many “adopters” from previous years who wanted to share their experience. Good examples of “happy endings” resulting from these solidarity events whose objective is also to emphasize the responsibility that having a pet requires.

On this occasion the event It was driven by Sole Giménez that told each of the stories of the almost 50 dogs of all ages, sizes and “breeds”, which paraded through the BIOPARC plaza. Yesterday, dogs as impressive as Gina, a huge and beautiful 3-year-old, 30-kilogram mastiff mix who has already spent her first night in her new home. Gina lived with her brother in a fenced open field, without any type of physical care or affection. She ate when someone remembered to give it to her, but now everything will be different.

Another very different dog but with the same happy ending has been the little one Pitita, 6 years old and only 6 kilos who, although she continues to mistrust people she doesn't know and is still afraid, was happy knowing that now she will not lack love.

In this free access area of ​​BIOPARC there was a festive and family atmosphere where once again the commitment to animal welfare of an increasingly important part of society has been reflected. A solidarity action aimed at promoting respect and care for animals, both wild and domestic, and both near and far.
