José Maldonado, President of Rain Forest, was grateful that the President of les Corts had shared the celebration of BIOPARC and together they took a tour of the different areas of the park.

Just today February 28, 12 years ago, BIOPARC Valencia was officially inaugurated and this morning the President of the Valencian Courts, Enric Morera, wanted to share the celebration of the anniversary of this park that has become a reference for Valencians. Accompanied by him President of Rain Forest, José Maldonado, has toured the different recreated habitats and has been able to verify the quality and evolution of what is considered one of the 10 best animal parks in the world.

During the visit, President Morera has discovered the “magic” of zoodipping, of which the Spanish company Rain Forest is a pioneer in Europe, which consists of completely eliminating visual barriers to show the most beautiful and threatened wild landscapes and the animals that inhabit them. José Maldonado highlighted the daily effort of the entire park team and explained the concept of leisure “with a cause” that BIOPARC offers and its participation in the conservation projects of endangered species that are carried out both in Valencia and internationally through the BIOPARC Foundation. Likewise, it has been possible to see the awareness work that is carried out every day with the numerous visitors who were in the park, with the aim of raising awareness and achieving the necessary change in people's attitudes so that they understand the need to conserve the rich biodiversity of our planet.

During a pleasant walk this spring day, they have contemplated “wild nature” scenes in the different multispecies enclosures and also the spectacular nature of spaces such as the Kitum cave or the baobab forest with the elephant lake. Especially emotional was the sight of the gorilla family with the babies Félix, Pepe and Virunga, little Ebo and the rest of the group.

This promotion emphasizes the park's commitment to the preservation of threatened species and this year dedicates that +1 euro to the protection of great primates through the BIOPARC Foundation.
