As for the peculiarities of the rapax eagle (Aquila rapax), its unique flight stands out, which allows it not to be perceived by their prey when it tries to hunt them. A behavior that can be observed at BIOPARC. In addition, it is distinguished by itswith small claws, which are effective at holding, but are not as specialized in killing very large animals; and their robust beak to tear through tough skin and quickly access the flesh, even if it is partially rotten.
This eagle is opportunist, that is, although it is a great predator, adapts its diet and hunting strategy to whatever is available and easy to catch at any given time. They can be animals in any state; it doesn't mind if they are carcasses, as this way it expends as little energy as possible and doesn't expose itself to as many dangers. This way, it increases its chances of survival. However, in recent years it has been encountering a threat for all its species: the poisoned carrion.
