“Wild” Easter Week with Africa Expedition

This week the Easter edition of the “Africa Expedition” holiday school takes place. BIOPARC Valencia and this year the little ones will become experts in meerkats, crocodiles, eagles and gorillas From 3 to 6 in April.

Every day of this week of school holidays the “adventurers” have the opportunity to discover experientially the curiosities of each of these species with the help of specialized educators and animal caretakers. From 9 a.m. to 17 p.m. they help prepare their facilities and prepare their diets, study their behavior, collaborate on the environmental enrichment route and participate in recreational-training games to learn about the animals' ecosystems. At the end of each day each child receives a diploma that accredits him as an “Animal Expert” of the chosen species.

Boys and girls from 5 to 12 years old liven some unforgettable holidays getting closer to the wildest African life by becoming animal experts and discovering threatened species.

It is an opportunity to learn through leisure and do so in contact with nature in one of the best animal parks in the world. And this year the opportunity to meet the babies that have been born in recent weeks: the baby gorilla Pepe who enjoys the spring sun with his mother Fossey and his brothers EBO, Virunga and Mbeli; breeding drill of a few days of life who does not leave his mother Abuja, or to the Mhorr gazelle breeding in the savannah Three animal species that suffer a high degree of threat and have even disappeared from their natural habitat, with man being the main cause of this.

Like each of the editions of “Africa Expedition” at Easter, Summer and Christmas, during the school holidays, boys and girls from 5 to 12 years old learn while having fun about the importance of preserve the environment and the biodiversity of the planet.
