After an Easter in which BIOPARC became a “Tower of BABEL” discovering African habitats, the youngest on their vacations begin their wildest journey towards learning about giraffes, porcupines, turtles and chimpanzees.
BIOPARC Valencia begins the Week with its “Africa Expedition” holiday school Easter '17.
In this edition, the youngest begin their wildest journey towards monographic knowledge of four different species: giraffes, porcupines, turtles and chimpanzees on these holidays for schoolchildren but which are working days for many families.

Throughout each day from 9 a.m. to 17 p.m. The little ones learn to preserve the environment and the biodiversity of the planet. With the help of specialized educators and animal caretakers they have the opportunity to discover curiosities and get closer to knowing a species every day. And they do it experiential way since they help in the preparation of the facilities and prepare their diets, they study their behavior, they collaborate in the environmental enrichment route and they play recreational-training games to discover the importance of “the conservation of ecosystems and the animals that are part of them”. At the end of each course, each child receives a diploma that accredits them as “Animal expert” of the chosen species.
Although this is an opportunity to learn through leisure for boys and girls from 5 to 12 years old and do it in contact with nature, this Easter the opportunity to discover the beauty of African habitats and its most endangered species has been for the high number of tourists who have visited one of the best animal parks in the world. Walking through BIOPARC these days has been like being in a “Tower of Babel” full of diverse languages that told and exclaimed the wonders discovered on their journey through some of the most beautiful and threatened landscapes. The family of gorillas with the little Virunga has been one of the points of most attention, as well as the group of giraffes with their majestic walk, the lemurs of Madagascar or the herd of elephants bathing in the lake next to the Baobab forest. We saw those who already know the park and who wanted to repeat the experience discover new species that are no less beautiful because they are less known, such as bongos, drills, oricteropos, Mhorr gazelles, etc.
Foundation These festive weeks have been filled with diverse human life in origins, ages, and types of groups, which consolidates the Valencian park as a leisure offer in the city with a very attractive environmental component not only for Valencians but for everyone.
